Do you have an older mobile phone, safety alarm, or another device that only uses 2G? From August 2025, Telia will start shutting down its 2G network, and Telenor will follow 31.12.2027.
When this happens, all devices that rely on 2G will stop working.

Affected might be devices include, but are not limited to:
Older mobile phones that do not support 4G or 5G
Alarm systems and safety alarms
Elevator alarms
eCall emergency systems in cars
Sensors
Check your equipment now and upgrade to devices that support 4G or 5G.
What does this mean for you?
When the 2G network is shut down, mobile phones and other connected devices that only work via 2G will stop functioning.
The 3G network has already been shut down, and the 2G shutdown is scheduled as follows:
Telia: shutdown starts in August 2025
Telenor: will shut down after December 31, 2027
